The distinctiveness of rapeseed oil inspection is the high content of sulfur compounds in the oil, which significantly reduces its nutritional value. In high-glucosinulate varieties of rapeseed, the amount of isothiocyanalates and other sulfur compounds passing into oil ranges from 0.002 to 0.06% in terms of sulfur. For food purposes, unrefined oil of the highest and first grades can be used, as well as refined non-deodorized and refined deodorized oil with an erucic acid content of no more than 5% and a sulfur content of no more than 6 mg / kg. Technical grades of rapeseed oil, unsuitable for food due to the increased content of monounsaturated erucic acid and the total content of monounsaturated acids in the range of up to 70%, and polyunsaturated ones - up to 23%, fully meet the requirements for the production of alternative fuels for diesel engines.

FOSFA-accredited inspectors and laboratory technicians from CISS GROUP carry out rapeseed oil inspection at any point of the supply chain.

Incoming/outgoing rapeseed oil inspection.

It is carried out during delivery of rapeseed oil to tanks or to a port, or when importing / exporting from factories' warehouses. The CISS GROUP inspector will visually assess the condition of the containers for the suitability to store the cargo; will check the compliance of the cargo and packaging with the transportation conditions; the compliance of the labeling with the specifications and the compliance of the goods with the cargo (accompanying) documents and technical specification of the contracts. If rapeseed oil is transported in a container, the inspector will check the its, fixing all damages and compliance of the container and its internal packaging with the requirements of contracts. If required samples will be taken for technical and chemical analyzes in FOSFA-authorized - accredited laboratories.

Acceptance of cleanliness containers / holds of vessels before loading rapeseed oil.

It is a visual inspection of containers or empty holds for their cleanliness and suitability for the carriage of rapeseed oil. The inspector thoroughly inspects their internal surfaces, controls the position of flexi-tanks (if such are used) in containers, checks the integrity and performance of locks and hinges, rubber seals for container doors and hold covers.

Visual control of the loading process and sampling of rapeseed oil.

During loading, the inspector controls the loading of rapeseed oil, calculates the gross / net weight during reloading; in the case of loading rapeseed oil into the holds - the initial, intermediate and final check of the weight of the loaded cargo using the draft survey method can be performed. Additionally attending inspector conducts a visual assessment of the quality of the cargo, takes samples in accordance with the FOSFA sampling rules and forms composite samples. During loading, the inspector regularly checks pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to detect possible leaks or contamination. At the end of the loading, the inspector will seal the loaded containers or holds. He enters all the data into reports, to which the client gets direct access. Note that the CISS GROUP loading inspection and sampling can be carried out around the clock on 24/7 basis!

Laboratory analyzes of rapeseed oil quality.

We check the quality of rapeseed oil exclusively in FOSFA accredited laboratories in accordance with the requirements of existing international or local standards. The determined standard indicators of the quality of rapeseed oil include: smell, color, transparency, taste - all organoleptic indicators as well as laboratory test for color number, acid number, mass fraction of non-fatty impurities, mass fraction of moisture and volatile substances, flash point of extraction oil, peroxide value, determination of erucic acid.

In addition to basic analyzes, laboratory tests are carried out for the presence of pesticides, mycotoxins, GMO, dioxins, heavy metals and radioactive elements in rapeseed oil.

Photo and video report.

The inspector records each stage of the inspection with photos and videos. All such data contain the date and time of recorded stage of inspection. At the end of the rapeseed oil inspection, CISS GROUP provides a detailed photo report of all stages of control and inspection.
